Bisht and Jacobsen Honored by DOE for Outstanding Contribution

Congratulations to Gautam Bisht, Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, and to Douglas Jacobsen, Los Alamos National Laboratory, on receiving a commendation from the ACME Executive Council. The awards were presented by Dr. Dorothy Koch, Earth System Modeling Program, Climate and Environmental Sciences Division Biological and Environmental Research, an office of the U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE's) Office of Science.

Bisht was recognized for his outstanding contribution to “the ACME Land model software engineering, numerics, hydrology integration and overall support to the land model development and infrastructure.” Jacobsen was honored at the meeting for his “critical work on the design and integration of MPAS components in the ACME code and for exceptional contributions to the development and support of ACME repository.”

Present at the ACME team awards are the ACME Executive Council, awardees, and DOE representatives.
